I love this clip. They say presentation is everything so look and learn.
Look at the slick way you can get your website some exposure, very professional and very subtle.
Being a good actor adds to the effect greaty. Analyse the facial expressions and learn.

Sound business sense is also taught here. Wanna buy some fl**h p***r for sixty quid?

"Mental mat"

A more apt description can't be found...

Really, his over(mis)use of the word 'mental' is funny.

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking

This one's lovely. Don't bother overdubbing music, just blast your stereo out in the background.
$60 for a gimmick you can get for a fiver from most magic shops!

Make sure you pay close attention to the hat. This is a proper magician's hat and camper than a Village People convention.

I have never wanted a piece of glass to explode in a person's face more than I did after watching that.

We get it...the light bulb is "normal" do you have to play with it 6000 times before you go into an effect I could care less about?

After that awful display, the least he could do was electrocute himself as a closer.

 That's a video I'd bookmark!

He claimed to perform magic for the King Of Morocco, but judging by his attire and performance, I can only think it would be in the capacity of court jester.

The hat itself is a work of art. I think Angel, Brown, etc would gain much more crediblity if they wore them. A proper magician's hat that is....

scary stuff!

Postby VoodooMick » Feb 19th, '08, 15:30

Scary thing is though, there was another video in his list of videos entitled something like "stopping big ben" where "big ben" happened to be the name of his local post office clock, and upon watching that video it seems he is somewhat of a celebrity where he hails.
Like it's a bit of Geller-esque news article?
I watched the video after I logged off talkmagic and don't think I have the strength to go through it all again to find the link but it aint that far away in cyberspace terms from His Lordship's links.

The fact he's a local celebrity shows how devoid of any entertainment the place he derives from is. The way he spoke of himself, as some kind of Copperfield-esque legend, didn't prepare for the mad uncle at a five year olds birthday party antics I discovered on youtube.

He has to be the funniest thing in magic since Tommy Cooper, intentional or not.

Who else?

He certainly lived up to expectations. After seeing these videos, I can't help but chuckle to myself that some people were falling over themselves to welcome a "professional" magician to the forum.

If professional means you can't even be bothered to use Windows Movie Maker to write titles for your videos and scribbling on a bit of paper with a Sharpie instead then I think there's more diginity in being an amateur.

One scary man....

A Marvin's Magic Set with basic effects : £10
The same effects from Karl: $2000

The sight of an ageing buffoon in ridiculous clothes performing embarassingly inept magic in the most over-acted and unprofessional way possible: priceless!
