How excited am I???

Postby Lady of Mystery » Feb 22nd, '08, 11:40

I heard last night, that the guys I used to be in a folk band with are comming back from New Zealand for a month. Looks like we're going to get '3 Bucks and a Doe' back together for one more gig.

I've even started writing a new song for us, a little Nickleback parody called 'Wanna be a Folk Star'!

Can't wait!!!!!

I'm sure you'd get more punters if you spruced it up a lil' .... howsabout, "wanna be a porn star" (oops, only kidding  ).

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Excellent news. I'd be horrified if the chaps said they were getting Terminal, our old punk band, back together.

Thanks guys, I'm really looking forward to it. Haven't seen the guys in over 3 years!

Got lots of practicing to do though. I tried playing Riverflow by the Levellers last night, which was always our opener and I was off time, off beat and hitting wrong notes and double strings on the intro and solos  I used to be able to play those off without thinking about it. I'm sure it'll come back.

Moonbeam, the song's going to be great, it currently revolves around drinking cider, beards, BO and girls with hairy legs (we're not like that though, I promise). I'd forgotten how much fun it is to write silly folk parodies.

I so don't want to be at work, I want to be at home, playing and writing.

well done lomster - though all i can see in my mind at the moment, is the bit in the mighty boosh, someone dressed as a fisherman, but with KISS make-up...

i think you should adopt that look...you'll be the gene simmons one, with a fiery cod-piece...i suppose that could be a weak fisherman pun...

i didnt have you down as a folkie though i must admit...you should listen to a group called Tree, and Tractor...from the late 60s/early 70s, a mix of psychedelia/folk/rock...female vocals too...

Folk people drinking cider, what has the world come to... what's wrong with real ale?! :)

(For the record - nothing's wrong with real ale, it's great!)

I so am a folkie, Abraxus, though not your braids and hippy dresses type. I just love that type of music, it's just all about having fun and feeling good :D

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.
