Postby TheAlkhemist07 » Feb 13th, '08, 18:46

Bought some old games for the Virtual console on the Wii.

Alienstorm and Golden axe.

Awesome games!!!
Used to play them when I was younger!

I bought some retro's on XBOX Live, bit cheaper to be honest, but I am planning on buying a few Sega exclusives off of the Wii!

Did you get those odd silicony cases through the post?

I dunno, just two days ago, two little silicon cases came through the post, for free, from Nintendo saying it is a precautionary measure to stop controllers being broken when dropped. ALL FOR FREE!

I used to love golden axe, streets of rage and altered beast for the megadrive. I wish I had a Wii console now

Yeah I got 4 of them but I don't use them because I put them and they stink and feel horrible so took it off and also the wii remote doesn't fit in the guitar hero III controller with the wii jacket on (as they're called) but people on another forum call them wii condoms and someone else noted they stank and they were told maybe they got a used one
Its not to protect the controllers its to protect other people if you're playing tennis or whatever and hit someone with it but thats only happened to over enthusiastic silly americans who should know better

Big fan of both the Wii Virtual Console and Xbox Live's Arcade service. I wasn't allowed a games console when I was young, so I've missed pretty much everything before the N64, when I was old enough to buy my own consoles and things.

I think the Xbox Live Arcade service is better value for money, and has a lot of cool original games like Catan and Carcasonne but you can't beat the choice on the Wii's VC. Also, did you know that Nintendo have just signed a deal to bring C64 games to the VC soon?

For anyone that has an Xbox 360, my gamertag is FatBoysOnTour if you would like to add me to your friends list. I just really play the arcade games though, can't afford the big ones.

Never chinnedanyone myself and I've been playing for a loooooong time, but I did get hit round the head whilst someone was playing bowling.

In a moment of mentalism I said "I predict that Belcher is about to hit me round the head with the Wii remote". He insisted he wouldn't, then lamped me with during a swing.

Ouch
