Who on earth is De 'vo vom Schattenreich!?

Postby Raymond du Plessis » Feb 22nd, '08, 18:35

I know what this guy does and how amazing his skills are, but who is he?
Why does he keep such a low profile, isn't there a picture of him somewhere?
Maybe he's seen in the Superhandz dvd, but I don't have that

:?

I'm sure some XCMers could speak more knowledgeably, but his name translated means, de'vo "of the dark kingdom" or something of that nature. it's really a performance name. i own a couple of his dvds and have never seen his face, although obviously, those people who train with him in his videos (i.e. Q in Xtreme Beginnerz) probably have. De'vo has competed in the Ulmen trials, although I'm not sure how far he has progressed at last count. that's what i've read and discovered at least. i'd be interested in knowing more as well.

de'vo moved fancy displays e.t.c into its own artform - also known as "Xtreme Card Manipulation" or XCM. Not sure about his real name - but De'vo is in fact, a stage name.

He has competed in the Ulman Trials - stuck at step 12, I believe.

Has 2 more dvds to release, before his retirement - XB volume 2, and Schatteinreich

Has become well known for some of his controversal views on magic and flourishing and xcm, and even more well known for his public apology to dan and dave buck e.t.c

he is very tall - about 6'6" i believe

also has very good finger-ring skills

not sure what else to say really

Hold on a second, I've just been reading up on the Ulmen trials and they sound stupidly hard!!!

FOURTH CHALLENGE - FOOT SHUFFLE

Foot Shuffle??!!! WTF?! I'm known for being fairly dexterous with my feet and am always picking stuff up from the floor with them etc but shuffling a deck of cards with them...

And it only tells you the first six challenges and calls them "Fairly Simple", you only find out the next seven once you've completed the first six...

Thank God the foot shuffle does not require a waterfall finish. Piece of cake, then. And "fairly simple"? Compared to what?!

I think it's being compared to the Chaos Theory and Quantum Physics

The foot shuffle is weirdly eccentric, we're not orangutans, I'll skip that challenge.
