Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Itches are reserved solely for fallen angels and sinners. Did you ever read those JW leaflets that come through the door?

And talking of Angels' arses brings us back to the old philosophical question of how many Angels can sit on the point of a pin? (The answer is fairly easy!)

one man trick

personnaly i think that balduncci is really a one man trick you cant perform it to an audience and if you don't do it properly then they will think it wasn't even a trick. i personnaly spent over ten hours practising the trick and i got to a pretty good stage of doing it. but people that overlooked from behind saw how it was done. naturraly they didn't think it was a trick but when the spectator went mad about about the trick the people from behind told him. i respect the trick. but it cannot be shown as a group trick. i preffer group levittation. :D

I suppose somewhere, in an deepest reaches of the Amazonian basin there must be a small tribe of people who don't know how the Balducci is done!

The internet, Blaine-mania and the masked magician have conspired to ruin this one for a generation.

Hmmm

I suppose this Amazonian basin may be quite local, then... because I still find that dropping a simple Balducci in every now and then is the final 'wow' factor.

Not every one on the planet is interested in secrets/methods... most of them are happy to be entertained.

The internet, Blaine, and Masked Magician have actually helped the magic community more than anything since Houdini, IMO.

As for the simple Balducci, there's still magic to it, if you save it and do it properly.

I personally prefer the Wild Levitation as you go higher, can do it from the front angle and you almost really do get of the ground!

But Balducci is also good though if you want an impropmtu levitation.

I also think the Balducci has it's place. I've definitely wowed a few people doing it - at the right time, in the right place.
I've actually done it for a room full of people - I was challenged to 'levitate' at a party. The room was quite full so I stepped to the other side of a doorway and did the Balducci. The sides of the doorway covered the angles and the reactions of those who could see it spilled over to those who couldn't. I wouldn't do that again, but it was fun at the time :)

Does QKD still come here? That Floating Gypsie effect looks wikkid, I wouldn't mind trying that myself. I definately rekon you should market that mate.

He hasn't visited since last October so perhaps an e-mail might be the best way to go on this one?
