Any Events coming up?

Postby Miss.Demeanour » Mar 5th, '08, 00:39

Can anyone recommend any good events / shows/ conventions coming up throughout this year?

I can't seem to find anything on-line and you guys are the people with the experience, so I guess this is the best place to ask :D

p.s I live in the north, so if there are any events in the more southern regions, I would prefer 1 or 2 day events where it would be beneficial to stay over.

Many Thanks guys.

www.magicweek.co.uk are usually the first to advertise forthcoming events and their What's On section has details for several months ahead.

Miss D,

There is a Magic Circle Easter Extraveganzer coming up soon at Scarborough but I haven't got an Abra on hand to give you details. Also, Max Somerset is lecturing at York on the 12th but unfortunately I can't go.

You may feel it worthwhile subscribing to Abra. PM me if you want details.

Whereabouts up north are you ? Have you thought about coming to our Ooop North meets at Leeds ??

Tenko.

Hi Tenko,

Many thanks for the info.

Leeds is a bit of a hike for me, we live in Wirral. (if you don't know it, its the little sticky out bit above north wales between chester and liverpool.)

I have been looking at subcribing to abra, it may be worth it.

:)

the Wirral? you mean like LIVERPOOL really :) :)

Would you come to a meet in Manchester?

I'd like to get something organised in Manchester to run opposite the Leeds meet but would need a few to commit to turning up once in a while

To Agecroft and Magic mark,

No, I do not live in liverpool, have never lived in liverpool and I am not a scouser!

I have no interest in football and do not have an accent.

In fact the wirral is where the scousers go on days out or the ones with money move to!

I have no issues whatsoever with any community or culture, or where people live, but if you knew the region better, (instead of being ignorant and presuming you would KNOW there is a difference.)

Please don't be so narrow minded and catagorise people into pre-assumed identities

Wow, I didnt realise this would cause any offence, everything I said was in jest, I have some great friends who were born and bred in both Liverpool and the Wirral.

I appologize for any offence caused
