I have to say that MMM is a great book. Not without it’s difficulties I grant you but the material is terrific. Take Tryposte for example, very simple to present yet yields a BIG punch and looks like real mind reading.

I suspect that many people new to magic prefer packet tricks and dvd’s to learn from. They want to be spoon fed and need instant gratification. The art of reading appears to be waning.

As far as being a large book no-one says you have to read/learn all its contents in one go. It is also not a book for the beginner.

I for one am glad if people cannot be bothered to read the book as it keeps the knowledge contained therein reserved for those who truly care about the art of magic and who are prepared to put effort into their learning.

Just my tuppence worth.

Yes, Triposte is superb. And the Trionic routine is flippin' amazing! It's not too difficult to make up, either. I'm only 80-odd pages into this book and already my mind is buzzing with ideas.
