Link! By Nabil Murday

Postby LambertClan2006 » Mar 12th, '08, 16:20

I was thinking of ordering the Link! dvd by Nabil Murday as was wondering what everyone had to say about it. The promo video looked great. Was wondering if it is as easy as it looks. I know quite a few rubberband tricks but this one just blows me away. Also are the instructions for the gimmick easy to follow and are the materials easy to get? Any info would be great.

Thanks

I saw this on Reel Magic Volume 2 and have to say it looks pretty good.
I'd also be interested to hear any opinions on it.

You can find the main review here.

Anyway, my opinion is that it's a good DVD as it explains the crazy man's handcuffs to the nth degree including different handlings.

However, the bad point is the trick that seems to sell the dvd - where he visually joins two rubber bands in mid air. I was disappointed as the method explained seemed impractical. There is a similar effect on The Daniel Garcia Project DVD which I have experimented with and would probably work better.

There's a review here http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic20345.php and I'm certain someone else (bananafish maybe?) did a review too but that wasn't turned up by the search facility or google so maybe I'm wrong.

The short answer is yes, this is a very good dvd and will make you a crazy man's handcuffs guru. The only downside for me was the extreme detail Murday goes into, whilst thorough=good it bored the hell out of me and there's a couple of bits I never bothered watching. The amazing link you see on the demo is gimmicked (go on admit it, it was too good to be impromptu!) and also pretty restrictive in terms of when and where it can be performed. That's sad but the rest of the dvd makes up for it.

Buy the DVD for the crazymans handcuffs itself. With a little work you will be fooling all the little tikes that know the handcuffs and robbed it from You Bl@*+y Tube. I think the selling point of the DVD Link itself is not for me but for the Crazys, knocks umm dead even if they do know it.
