Coin slights

Postby Tony Hyams » Jul 1st, '04, 23:47

Hi I’ve been concentrating on card slights for too long now and I want to learn some coin slights. (I’ve got most of the gimmicked ones) Can anyone recommend a good book or DVD I should get

I'm not yet into coin magic all that much but Bobo's comes to mind right away! Have a peek at http://cnb-host2.clickandbuild.com/cnb/ ... ageDisplay - it seems to give quite a few suggestions regarding books on pure coin sleights and moves as well as discussing the gaffed effects.

I strongly recommend Ian Kendall's BCM CD as a companion to the Bobo book (which is pretty well mandatory).
It's a tenner. It's well taught. Ian is a nice guy who will respond helpfully to emails, and he's also making more video files available on his website as bonus updates. You can't go wrong.

Try checking out Michael Ammar's Introduction to coin magic DVD. I still think that this is probably the easiest coin DVD to work from and also includes some excellant routines.

I'd go with Mandrake, get Bobo's first, it is the coin workers bible and there is still not a better source of material out there.
