Hi pboparis
My advice would be to stay away from restaurants until you are confident in your work and have had a lot of practice working in a crowed or table hopping.

The reason I say this is mainly because of health and safety regulation and if by any chance you knocked a drink over onto a guys lap you get the dry cleaning bill and the bill for the food for the table. I would suggest do a google on what organisations are in your area, email them and offer free Magic shows to raise money for their club or association, that way you are covered as a volunteer and you can get lots of practice in.

Other places to contact are.
Police, fire station, hospitals, local hospices , mental health and social services, these where my main groups I did shows for a few years ago and found the practise invaluable.

Well I concluded I won't do any restaurant magic. But i'll keep doing some tricks at my school (sponge balls and cards) And my brother asked me to do a show in front of his friends. So in roughly a month I'll have my first performance
