Mind Reading and rising card

Postby cless986 » Mar 25th, '08, 00:36

Hey guys, In tannens they sell the trick Force of thought, a great mind reading trick but I havent bought it yet...

So, has anybody used it with the rising card trick? I want to try this:
Tell a girl that she has supernatural powers, fan a deck and she mentally selects a card and I put the deck in a cup and on her hand, then I ask her to concentrate and tell the card to come out from the deck, and so it does... and with my hands laying down.
I ask because I want to buy the two tricks and use it as a routine to pick up girls xD
But Im not sure if works, anybody tried?

So far, the only magician I know who has picked up girls by performing magic is David Copperfield. The rest of us are just creepy loners who fantasize about being magical.

As far as 'picking up girls' is concerned, we've discussed this several times before and the general consensus was that the whole idea is just so insulting to women. If you really want to meet and go out with girls, just ask them out, no need for all that flim-flam in advance, magic may be expressive and showy but it doesn't need to be used as some sort of macho display to interest girls in you. If they like you they'll go out with you anyway. If they don't like you then doing a card trick or two is unlikely to change their minds, if anything it will just make their opinion far more relevant. If they're only interested in you because of your card tricks, what happens when you put your deck away......?

When she finds out your a fraud its all over!!!!!!!!!

Cless,

I don't know how old you are feller but I for one can vouch for magic pulling the birds, as can mighty Mark 8) Unfortunately I pulled twice on Friday night and on Saturday I didn't know who had left me their phone numbers

what peacock and neg are you working?

the game...pffft...my already dangerously high victorian values shot through the roof when i read that book recently...fun reading...but if its all true, then shame on them...

i have a feeling it'll only work on american valley girls...I'm sure if it was tested on any normal sane girl (if such a woman exists) then they'd tell you where to go...

you're obviously young...do what everyone does at that age, get steamin' and try your luck...something will happen at some point...law of averages...in the meantime, do some weights for your right bicep...
