Andy from Ipswich touching base!

Postby andyfisher » Mar 26th, '08, 00:07

Hi Ladies and Gents

I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself - my name is Andy Fisher and I am based in Ipswich, Suffolk.

I am primarily interested in mentalism and hope to meet a few of you at Tabula Mentis 3 in a few weeks time?

When not dabbling in the magical arts I like photography, martial arts, I worship at the temple of the silver screen and I teach secondary school kids so the rest of my free time sees me in therapy or coffee shops with piles of marking!

Anyway - hope to meet and chat with you all in due course.

All Good Thoughts

Andy

My girlfriend hails from Ispwich so can understand why you might be in therapy after teachng the kids, especially if you teach at Chantry High School.

Welcome to TM by the way!

lol - they're really not so bad - it's the other staff that tend to be a little challenging at times - nothing like a staff room full of stressed out and under paid academics to create a little tension - thanks for the welcome!

No - not at Chantry - I'm actually at St Joseph's College across the road - a breeze in comparison wich is why I say the kids are the least of my challenges! My subject is English - 12 years and counting - still ove it despite the challenges!

Todd - great to hear from you! It's good to be here!

Tenko - alas my typing skills are somewhat weaker than my written efforts - but that doesn't excuse my lack of proof reading!

I am also a Photoshop dabbler - great software and you can achieve some great effects. Perhaps we can swop ideas sometime - if you don't already have a flickr account that's a great place to share tips and showcase work - www.flickr.com Uand yes - I meant to miss the 'e'!

Hi Andy.

I work in secondary education also.

I seem to work two extremes - magic involves standing up in front of an audience and entertaining them, in my day job I stand up in front of an audience and bore the s*** out of them.
Heh. Only joking really. Physics is genuinely really interesting.

And photography is also a hobby of mine! Still in the 35milli era however.
I like the clicky sound when you press the shutter. It's deeply satisfying.
