I remember seeing it the first time and thinking it was a great trick.

I see it again and realize it is great art.

This is one of the performances that got me into learning magic, not something I've ever really started performing but I remember seeing this clip and being inspired.
And here I am.

This is pretty damn amazing! Rene always amazes me, and in general, Oil and Water effects don't really do much for me. Not only does this show his competence with cards more than ever, but it's one of the few versions I have seen, that I actually enjoy.

That's really cool. I wonder how many card tricks you can do one-handed.

There's loads of insights into becoming a better TWO HANDED magician learned from watching a single-handed maestro at work.

Rene's stuff is quite simply awesome, and he's also a master of misdirection, which is fab for a one-handed guy. Oh, and the fact he speaks Spanish doesn't distract at all, as there's a fluid translator on tap.

Be careful in performing with one hand. I'm a huge fan of Rene. I went to the lecture I got the vid and the books I spoke to the man and learned his oil and water cold, not that I would perform it, just for the experience of learning it. I showed it to my wife who also really liked it but had one comment. "Why are you performing with one hand"? My response was feeble at best. "but Rene Levand only has one ".

Could make for an interresting bit of patter.

Either the original story that you learned this from a one-handed magician, or pair the line "it can't be done any slower" with the fact you're going to perform it with one hand tied behind your back.

Rene Lavand's oil and water was the first version of the trick i ever saw, and i watched it over and over so many times, and studied it so much, i can now do it better 1 handed than i can 2 handed. Now that is sad.

The most beautifully performed card trick that i have ever seen! This also got me into magic and since then many moons have passed and I've never looked back!
