As a slight aside from Adrian's post at
http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic24386.php, I was just wondering what others think of as 'Good Luck Charms'? We've seem mention of Four Leaf Clover, Horseshoes (provided they're hung the right way!) and Rabbit's Feet (not so lucky for the poor rabbit!) so what other do TMers think of as good luck charms - and is there any way they can be used in a magic routine??

Rabbit's Feet (not so lucky for the poor rabbit!)
you can just picture a rabbit waking up in a bath full of ice with no feet.
i have a rose quarts pendant i wear a lot and i had a set of lucky chinese coins with shell, till some scrote stole them at a gig last year.

Hmmm - and their potential in magic is, er, what exactly? (Other than giving the magish a good hearty and healthy brekkie

!)

I have a collection of rabbit's feet. What's cool about them is that they're all been dyed different color; however, I don't necessarily think they're lucky, I just like having them around.

Hmmm, this has given me an idea for a routine. You start with a charm bracelet with a number of items on it and end up with an empty bracelet and a hand full of the lucky charms cereal.
Hearts, stars and horseshoes!
Clovers and blue moons!
Pots of gold and rainbows!
And me red balloons!
Also, wishbones

Being a big dirty Anglo-Saxon, my only lucky charm is my Tyr rune pendant.
Not sure if it could be used in magic though...

Like that, but circular. If anyone has any ideas of magical applications that would be super

Use it for the rising card effect.

My wallet that I take out is the
Real Man's wallet which always contains the following:
WOW by Masuda
Credit Card Change
..... and for a lucky charm, I always have a piccie of my grandparents - a.k.a.
grandma's card (apologies to those that can't read this last bit, as it's in the Restricted Area. Just think along the lines of Heirloom).
I'm prob gonna have to start using this again as I haven't used it in a while and it nearly always gets good reactions

.
QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I found my good luck charm ...someone had dropped it at a fair at the end the lady said I could take it home as no one had claimed it. It was a keyring with a face on and a name...the name of my baby son.
I wear it on my jeans and keep it with me all the time. I do use it for good luck and in a way its very comforting.
It always brings me good luck and makes me feel as if I have my very own angel watching over me.
Sophie.

I have a few old Egyptian symbols hanging around, just keep them for luck. I used to have a dream catcher in the room but it gave me nightmares!
