well I've got a whole load of She-Ra figures, book and videos at home. I remember going to see the He-Man and She-Ra film at the pictures.

What was the first film you all saw at the pictures on your own (i.e. without your parents)? Mine was "Stripes". I laughed like a drain all the way through.

I always thought having a hero named "He-Man" was completely stupid. The name basically just says "I'm male" twice in a row, and frankly, if the only noteworthy thing about you is your gender then you probably don't have a well-balanced personality. I mean, imagine the conversations at the annual Heroes Convention:

- "Hi. I'd like you to know that I'm male."
- "OK; what else can you tell me about yourself."
- "Ummmm . . . I can't think of anything."

I definitely never watched the show. Among the examples of adventure cartoon series that I remember rather more fondly, Ulysses 31 comes to mind (and most of the other examples I can think of were comedies).

Nonsense! You'd know why.

She was created by Gargamel as a way of getting at the Smurfs. What I don't know is why male Smurfs would actually recognise/care about a female, if there weren't any until Gargamel created one.

28. You thought She-ra (Princess of Power!) and He-Man should hook up.

Yikes! They were brother and sister!

I think the point about his name is that he really is twice as much of a man as anyone who doesn't have enormous muscles. (No, just joking - I always thought it was a lousy name too.)

And why was it so hard for people to spot that Adam was also He-Man? It made Superman/Clark Kent look like the work of a master of disguise. At least he wore a suit and glasses, and changed his hairstyle.

I really can't remember the first film I went to see without my parents. Ones seen with mates count, presumably, but what about my cousin? If so, then I think it would be 'Return of the Jedi'. If not, probably 'Rocky IV'. My memory for this sort of thing's hazy.
