Had an idea!

Dont roll you eyes!! Erm was thinking on a trick whereby you use a blank face and get someone to draw a card they chose and sign the back-after a bit of a mini ACR, their signed card turns to an actual card that they had doodled previously! Was hoping that this trick is an origional idea, and I have the workings down to a tee.If anyones heard of this done before, then please let me know! Many thanks

Sounds like an impromptu version of "kiddie kards", or whatever that effect is called.

If you mean Kids Kardz, have a look at http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic4192.php and see if it sounds familiar or not.

The idea of a drawn card is similar to Kids Kards - but the two effects are completely different.

The underlying premise isn't new, but, I can't think of an effect that plays exactly like you're saying. Sounds like a nice effect. Nice thinking.

It's a good idea, and I'll certainly be interested to hear where you go with it. Just having a play with it, and it's actually very difficult to do any sort of ambitious routine when you're trying to make a card that's signed on the back "come to the top", when you also need to show it to have another face - there wouldn't be room for much improvisation!

Actually, Farlsborough - it does say that the back of the card is signed AFTER the "mini acr" routine. It's not that clear, but that's what I figured after playing around for a few minutes, too.

Well, this is what Ive come up with so far-yet to test it further than the missus(poor girl!!)
No exposure, though itl be quite obivous what moves are used I hope!
Spectator picks a card and keeps it themselves.
Pull out of pocket a blank face and ask the spectator to draw their card on it. Do one rise of an ACR and then have it signed on the back for added security.
Do a 2nd rise of an ACR.
Shuffle and get rid of the drawn card.
Do 3rd rise of an ACR and hand to the spectator to place in deck, get them to turn it over to confirm and its the actual card.
Keep changing which rises to use but thats it and it fools my better half-will keep you posted on the progress of it though!
