Hi everyone

Hi everyone. Really a newbie at magic, learned really basic and easy card tricks, and never really was that interested in learning magic before. But for the last few months, got interested in it after seeing my friend perform some more advance card tricks. Been reading up on books and watching videos, which eventually lead me to here. Hope I'll be able to learn and get advice on doing tricks and such. Any advice and pointers for a magic curious beginning on magic and the forum itself? thanks in advance.

Hi there, welcome to TM.

What sort of magic are you particularly interested in?

Make sure you check out the review indexes before parting with your hard-earned cash. Some kind soul has taken it upon himself to maintain the indexes and keep them up-to-date.

interested in card & coin magic and street magic, mainly want to focus on close up.

Would those books be in a local bookstore or i have to go to a magic store to get those? Since i searched the phone book, and the closest magic store is pretty far away.

You can usually find Mark Wilson in somewhere like Waterstones, if not they'll be able to order you in a copy.
