Original routine for Zoo Card - dissapearing monkey

Postby NickS » Jul 10th, '04, 08:14

Hi all,

Professional magician for 15 years and just acquired 2 suit cases of children's props, some of which I knew, and some I don't. Does anyone have the original routine for one trick that I cannot find deatils on anywhere, it is.

The Card Zoo trick - where the monkey in the monkey house dissappers and reapears above the card? It is a folding book with 5 10" cards with animals printed on each card, (inc. Lion, Seal, Elephant, Monkey and Snake). The routine takes the children on a trip to the zoo where they shout out the name of each of the animals until they get to the monkey who has run away... Then there is the business of finding him, and putting him back in his cage.

I have looked everywhere online for a shop that sells this trick but cannot find it anywhere. I have even tried working out a workable routine, but I really would like to have the original routine.

I would be grateful of any pointers in the right direction, or actual help.

Best wishes,

Nick

Hi there Nick and welcome to the forum.
I can't seem to find much out about this trick either! I'm sure some will come along soon who will know. (maybe you may want to post a introduction in the introductions forum?)
See ya round the boards! :D

I think its called "who's who at the Zoo" and practical magic used to stock it, if you give them a ring then they may be able to help you out.

Best Wishes
