I found it quite ammusing when i discovered i'd ACTUALLY been doing a somewhat complicated ACR with your one way deck. They do make life so much easier. I've changed from the knee switch now, to a chair-shuffle-switch

You can round me up to a "definitely coming". I've got a housemate's birthday BBQ that afternoon but that's not until at least 4pm.

Hopefully it'll be sunny and we can find somewhere outside to sit! I'm going try and be proactive and find us somewhere else as a possibility of moving on to, just because if anyone's going to perform, the clientele at the Angel seem to regularly be a few pints past actually caring

Winner Winner!

I'm going to agree with the Doc here. We should go try out a few places tomorrow, have 1 drink in spoons and move on, hit a few places until we find: a) a place with an acceptably receptive crowd, b) a manager who feels the need to give us free drinks to make us stay, c) the joy of the crawl, d) nirvana.

Crawling sounds good for me

Anyone up for staying till about 7 ish at least? I'll be on the train again and I'd rathre make the stay (time wise) more worthwhile at least and a pub crawl in the sun sounds great to me

For me today was the most enjoyable of the meets, no idea why it just was. Probably the Leeds sunshine had something to do with it.

I don't think I'll be here for the next one either so the Fun day for me when I'm back from Hols. Looking forward to "doing a bit" actually.

it will be great experience

I think the people at the angel have a deck of cards scattered around the floor from all the card flinging! Seems we're getting recognised now as well.

Now where did I leave that 9 of clubs

Well, who knows, maybe you will make it to the next one. Feel free to let us know a little about yourself.

It has to be said, I enjoyed today. It was great, and I especially liked the chair shuffle switch. Very useable.

Oh and Lawrence, I emptied my pockets when I got back, to find a 9 of clubs in about half of my pockets. Mind you, Agecroft, you were the one talking about doing some put pocketing. So Agecroft had the motive, Lawrence had the means. Im scared.

EDIT: On a slightly more profitable note - Im designing the DVD case for Pane in the Glass, and need the names of the other effects - so far, Ive got Pane in the Glass, Chop Chip, and Lawrences crimp (needs a better name with silent Xs) I was also thinking about including the chair shuffle switch. Any other ive forgotten?

All the best,

The $5 fire wallet

I enjoyed saturday too, although I actually wish it wasn't so hot because I keep all my magic in my jacket!

Also - finally, after an honest attempt try somewhere new, we can put this issue to rest... The Angel Inn, though not perfect, is the best place for us to go

The only thing about saturday that disappointed me was myself. I haven't had time to do much magic recently, and after fluffing almost every performance I did for you guys, I wasn't feeling too confident about performing for the punters. I enjoyed the routines I did for that couple though.

Videos up this evening, I promise. Sadly we didn't get any of Rob, who has of late become an absolute beast - a magic monster - performing for everyone! Go Rob!

Ah, no, dammit - should have got you wowing those guys with card warp!

Anyway, these are the ones I did get (will update as I upload):

Crozboz - ID
Lawrence - Mind read (unbelievable!)
Me - Postcard Prediction (I've deleted the other one in favour of this, it's a little more elegant)
Me - Match.com

...and I'm seriously thinking about getting Coinvexed. After seeing it action quite a few times now, it's a lot less "risky" than I thought, and I love seeing it play out!
