Boywonder has already suggested I meet up with him and he can embarress me by being really good (okay that last bit was my thought) but he suggested meeting up and its a great idea.

Who in Leeds would be interested in meeting in Headingley for a coffee (Starbucks poss or another great little cafe that I know just up the road) and a chat about magic and you can all laugh at my clumsy attempts at the overhand shuffle Sometime in July?

I know there are clubs etc but I'm not ready for that yet and would rather just meet casually and have a chat.

So who's up for that?

Sounds great, but please, not Starbucks. Not that I'm one to bear a grudge, but I've never forgiven McCoffee Inc. for buying up Borders Cafe (previously the best place in town for coffee) and taking it down the kazi just so they wouldn't have to compete with it.

Instead I tend to head for the art gallery cafe for my caffeine and socialising needs, being as it one of the only parts of cafe society left to have retained the "society" part.

Yeah it was a vicious blow to coffee drinkers the lose of Borders although I do like the nice comfy chairs in the window...but...art gallery cafe is one I always forget about - great idea.

So anyone else out there - we're up to 4 so far...can we make it five...

Wheres the art gallery cafe? what about costa down by WH Smiths, they make cracking hot chocolate!

The art gallery is between the library and the Henry Moore Institute (the sculpture gallery with the shiny black marble front) on the Headrow. The cafe is towards the back of the gallery and can be easily reached from the Henry Moore institute via the bridge that links the two buildings. You don't get the comfy sofas, but it is a good place to sit and chat.
