Devils Picture Book is good, but it's quite expensive and delivery will take ages because Derrens on tour!

If you want to learn the effects on DPB, you have to put in some serious study and already be very compitent with cards!

The Performance of Close up by Eugene Burger is a book I've just finished which I found very useful

If I could find it before i too go for my holiday in two weeks I'd get Dear Mr Fantasy by John Bannon. I love his work and own his other books and DVD's

Germain the Wizard sounds incredibly good- if you can find a copy.

Actually, any book published by the Miracle Factory is easily worth the money you pay for it.

The Brook Books are good, but it really depends on your style. Alchemical Tools is a great read for anyone, but some of his mental books, I imagine, are aimed at the mentalist community more than for magicians.

For high quality magic, along with a dab of history, theory, and psychology, you should get the House of Mystery, by Teller. All old stuff, but it's gold.

Tangled Web by Eric Mead, though somewhat small, is fantastic. It's one of my favorite books.

If you want more close up magic than you'll ever know what to do with, Apocalypse by Harry Lorayne is the way to go. A single volume will last you decades...

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking

The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. You can get it for about £6 so you'll have plenty of dosh left over for magic books if you so wish.

"All Creatures Great and Small" by James Harriot. Heck do yourself a favour and get the entire series. Nothing to do with magic, but they are great reading.

"The Game", by Nail Strauss is a good'un! Recomend to both men and women...though mainly men! I don't want many women reading this ;)

Love

Maybe after 2000 lie filled religious years, it's their turn?
