I've been practicing the Jones Change for at least 5 hours straight just sitting here and I got everything down in a fluid motion (at least I think it's fluid, deff not as good as the video recently posted) but I seem to get really stuck at a certain part right before the reveal. If someone could PM me and help me out it would be great. I watched the video at least 200 times and it just isn't as smooth (not by a long shot) as they are.


I'm not really sure on the policy about revealing parts of a trick in the support section but I wouldn't want to break any rules through ignorance so I'm leaving the steps out. I haven't seen it yet but can this forum use the spoiler code that blacks everything out till you scroll over? That would probably be ideal, especial when dealing with magic. I could always use the old trick of white text

The only policy is we do not reveal a thing. Exposure isn't tolerated and any blacked out nonsense is just as bad!

If its the change Im thinking of, there is a very good reason why you are not getting it yet....

Yeah I found the fixed version and I got the move down but it's still a little tricky, been trying to smooth it out all day but I seem to get stuck on the reveal. I am buying a new pack of the vipers soon and hopefully that will at least help

A new pack of ANY type of cards will help. You need a relatively stiff stock when practising especially.

Yeah it was actually your video that inspired me to learn it, I really liked the flow in your vid. I'm just gunna keep at it and hopefully be as slick as that. I'm deff choppy, lol.

I started learning yesterday and I'm pretty fluent until after you let it spin. Bit by bit I guess. I really like the little flourish at the beginning, have already come up with several other uses for it.

Thats the reason i like it i think it kind of flourishy

Also a tip: When Dave or Dan (I don't know the diffrerence) says I doesn't matter if they split when you spin them down, it really helps if they do as it easier to peel the bottom one off.

And Another: Practice holding and vanishing things in your tenkai palm (if that is exposure please remove) it will really help

True, but if your not fast enough, they could get a peek. But then again, they know some foul play is going on when it's that quick and impossible.

Yes i don't think for a second anyone wouldn't think that you had just changed the card it is just maiking it hard for them to tell how, that is what makes it magical that they don't know how to do i and couldn't do it

I have been noticing it is easier to single the card out by doing this but you run the risk of it being spotted. I think the way you do it in the video is so that when you spin it you have the cards flat aimed toward eye level so that no one would possibly be able to tell anything during that step. I for some reason do it straight up as to show off the card once more assuring them it is still the same I guess.

I definitely like this little move for that reason specifically. It looks so awesome and yet the actual flourish part (spin in the beginning) is so easy but looks like you are a master card handler with little to no effort. Pretty sick move all in all.

yeah i agree also the starting spin can be applied to so many things to give them a little extra flair

I think if you do hold it at eye level the chance of dicovery does diminish because it is quite hard to truly hide something in tenkai and I think that is the best angle to do so. also I think it looks slightly more mysterious
