Talk Magic Day Out Leamington Spa Day of Magic 25th June2008

Postby Its magic » May 15th, '08, 08:09

This event is coming up soon, this year its on a Wednesday to give all the working magicains and entertainers a chance to come.

The timetable of events has not been finalised yet but there will be at least two main lectures, workshops (ballons and cards I know are on the list already) and normally at least 6 good dealers during the day.

The event will go into the evening to give those who can not come for the day to at least catch one of the lectures and the dealers. There will be a reduced rate for evening only entry.

I understand there will also be an evening show.

Leamington Spa is a good location, plenty of shops for the wife to look at less than 5 minutes drive from the venue. Locally there is a good pub serving meals (2 for 1 I think) a chip shop and other local shops.

The price for the day is £15 which is very reasonable for this type of event.

I may be able to get a discount on this if enough would like to come?

More details to follow when I have them but as Leamington has a good mix of memebers the organisers are sure to cater for most, or just come along meet up and spend some money with the dealers!!

Anyone interested?

It doesn't seem that there's much response to this thread as yet and I've been following this with some interest.

Is anyone planning or thinking of attending?

This promises to be a good day out with some good names and dealers on the bill, particularly David Penn and Andrew Murray.

There's lots of bars in Leamington as well for when the event is over

It's an impressive line up of lecturers for a one day event and well worth taking a day off work to attend.

as much as I would love to go, I really cant justify having my mum drive me over 100 miles to get there - unless someone else is driving from up north and wouldnt mind a quick detour to York - I would happily split the petrol

All the best,

Does anyone know if there are tickets still available? Or if you can just turn up? I've only just noticed this, and its only about a half hour drive away.
I also just to happen to have that day off work.

You can pay on the door, but I would advise telling Mick your going just in case there is a last minute rush.

His number is on

100 miles is not that far, I would go that far for a book booking!

Most events like this charge twice as much to get in so it goes some way to pay for petrol.

Come on push the boat out!
