Outlaw Washing Machine

Postby EckoZero » May 28th, '08, 18:51

My mother in law very kindly washed my shirt today.

Unfortunately my Outlaw wallet, a sharpie and a stack of business cards were in the breast pocket.

So my outlaw wallet (containing Sanctum 2 and Kioku) got washed :(

My outlaw wallet is all buckled and crinkly and doesn't look much like a posh wallet anymore, the water seeped through the laminating on Kioku and did some damage to one of the cards... the only thing that survived was my Sanctum 2 - of which I have a spare anyway.

Bah :( :( :(

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

More incredibly, my sharpie still works.

The business cards were expendable, as was the sharpie - but the sharpie still works and Sanctum 2 as mentioned was also unscathed.
I think it's a cosmic conspiracy personally.

I have a half an hour plus mentalist routine using only the stuff that was in that pocket - and now my bloody wallet is gone.

I am beyond gutted

Damn! Sorry to hear that. I have no idea what those items are, but are they expensive to replace?

Well the wallet like I had is not in production anymore - so a replacement will cost £30 - and kioku is not too bad (only £7-odd), but I had to wait three weeks last time I bought it.

Plus, until I start my job next week, I can't afford to replace it.

Not fun

Sorry to hear, always a nuisance to have to replace equipment and get used to new props.

I feel for you EZ! Not quite on the same scale, but my Mum was trying to play patience with a deck that included my "Wild Card" routine and threw them away as they "made no sense!"

That's lousy luck (and the Wild Card loss was even more peculiar - why throw away someone else's cards?). I had a problem with my Kioku set too when the lamination popped and some liquid from a pub table seeped in.

PM me, I'll see how I can help. What good is an outlaw without his arsenal.
