Wild Levitation

Postby ste175 » Jun 4th, '04, 18:18

This is the trick - guy takes off coat, puts it in front of his leg, with his feet showing and levitates pretty high up. The video is at http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=337
Does anyone know what it's actually like and if the video is edited to make the levitation higher than it actually is?

From my two review requests it looks like I'm really into levitation! It's actually a coincidence that I want to get two levitation tricks at once, but I think they're really impressive because they're so visual and because people always suspect something with card tricks, no matter how amazing they are.

before you rush out and buy this... ask yourself why the video cuts from the guy swinging his jacket to the levitation to his jacket being lifted.. there may be a few seconds "fumbling" in between these moves... i can actually think of 2 methods that could duplicate this effect without buying it... in fact if you read down the page to the review by "Lucas" you may be able to work out the idea

what he means is that on this forum we dont share secrets to magic effects

wild levitation isn't all that great. When you put your coat in front of you, that gives it away. Then you have to do some stuff to distract the audience. This isn't all that great. You'll be better of with the king rising ( which isn't the best, but it's better then wild )

First of all I don't think in king's rising you need to put a coat in front of you and also in wild levitation can the coat be examined afterwards?
