A coin spin

Postby stevebo » May 29th, '08, 01:58

Hey guys!

I just picked up three coins and remembered that there was a technique of making a coin spinning between two coins continuously that I played around with a long time ago. I think it was something like contracting and relaxing the hand to spin the coin.

Anyone remember or know of this? I think it's in the Art of Astonishment but I don't have it with me now. Basically, I recently got into some coin magic, learning 3 fry and Menage as Trois :).

Hope someone can help me! :D

Art of Astonishment
Perpetual Motion Coin Myth.

(See Index)

Wow, that is fun! (the italics, that is).

Have a coin in (essentially) classic palm and a coin in (pretty much) finger palm. Have the third in between the two perpendicularly and squeeze and relax. PH says he'll forgive you if you give it a starting flick.

He also says it's impossible.

Oh well, best of luck.

This site has lots of tutorials on how to spin if your interested in that sort of thing. It doesn't involve magic exposure, so I imagine it isn't against the rules of the site.
