Which two tricks?

Postby Happy Toad » Jul 23rd, '04, 13:08

Sometimes it seems 1 trick works very well along side of another, kinda the perfect match.

For example I was talking to Gochos the Greek yesterday and he mentioned he loved to do disappearing card case as the lead into invisable deck. While I do both tricks I'd never thought about linking them in this way, it seems like a pretty perfect match.

Anyone else found a good couplet? :)

Diceman and then into Dice Thru Mirror because:

a) They link so well and use the same 'prop'
b) The die with Diceman isn't the best but the one with Dice Thru' is excellent.
c) Dice Thru' is a little 'lighter' and less sinister than the dark version of Diceman.
d) I enjoy doing them one after another!

penacoin and bitten 10p work well together...eg do penacoin....(spec) "Do that again!"... (yourself)"sorry.. the molecular structure of the 10p changes after its passed through the rubber... watch"... (do bitten 10p)... guarantee'd freak out of specs

Funnily enough I too will often do the ID after the disappearing card case. It seems so logical to use them one after the other like this.

As far as card tricks go, I often do "Further than that" followed by the gamblers routine "The Secret to a perfect royal flush", which incidentally are both on th efirst ETMCM dvd.

The reason for this is that both require a simple setup, but the second one is easily created after the first one.

Nice thread. I look forward to other suggestions.

"Card warp" and "torn and restored card" are good ones that I use together, as I tear the card after the warp anyway...
