From the man who brought us Twisted Sisters, John Bannon has done it again with a diabolical double prediction unlike any other. The performer writes down two predictions, each on a separate piece of paper, and places them on the table in full view. He then begins dealing cards into a face-up pile, allowing the spectator to simply tell him to stop at any point. This selection is placed aside with one of the predictions. The performer then reveals that the deck he's using contains marked cards. The marks aren't meant to be secret, though, as each card is boldly labeled! The deck is shuffled and the performer again deals the cards, this time into a face-down pile. The second spectator also simply tells him when to stop dealing and this selection is also placed aside with the other prediction. Both predictions are now turned over to reveal...they are wrong!? The predictions don't match the cards! The performer explains that the cards are marked, but not correctly-the printed marks don't match the faces. When the first face-up selection is turned over, it's mark matches the first prediction and when the second face-down selection is turned face-up, it also matches the second prediction exactly! Comes complete with the specially printed deck on Hoyle stock and detailed, 8-page, fully-illustrated instruction booklet.

Great trick, I didn't quite realise the power of getting it so badly wrong, after a big build up and then turning it all around until I'd done this trick.
Very easy to do and seems so very very fair. It's not on Bikes but since it is a clearly marked deck there is no problem with putting it away after the trick and swapping it out for your Bikes. It's not examinable but the way's it done it's not that likely that anyone will feel the need to examine.

This is one I will use on a regular basis, re-set is quick and easy I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10.

Hi Happy T.

Thanks for the review. I have to confess that when I read it it sounds so much like "Duel Match" (Reviewed Here) that I can only summise that they both use the same method. In which case I think I prefer the patter and story that goes along with DM (ie, I was at a car boot sale the other day and...)

In saying that, I do totally agree that the fact that you seem ito initially get it wrong, and then prove that you have actually got it very right indeed really makes this trick both simple and beautiful at the same time.

Nothing beats a self working card miracle where you can really concentrate on the patter.

Yeah it does sound very much like it may be the same method. Hmm might use that patter :)

Ben,

re-read the effect for this, and for duel match. It isn't a force, the spec reaslly does have a free choice of the cards they select. I wont say any more as with all these things its difficult to gauge when exposure starts, but what happens in the effects are fairly accurate...

It is a very powerful and very simple trick...

'Toad...

Nice review. In fairness, this is one of those effects that sounds 'too good to be true for £12' in most cases.

However, it seems that this is well worth the money, as not only do you get a really nice routine, you would apparently get the 'utility' and scope to create a whole new idea out of this.

Surely worth £12 of anyone's money, ben???
