was thinking the same myself, having just purchased a Jay Sankey trick which uses this sleight to a slightly different end.

Borrow a coin, do a strike vanish using the pen as a magic wand, give them the pen to keep, then produce the coin from somewhere to finish.

I was thinking of using the strike vanish to vanish the pen lid, then pulling the lid out of my pocket. What do you think , too simple? too cheesy?

Learn a few flip moves for vanishing pens or wands or cigs.

Strike vanishes

pen through ear. (or through spectators ear but if you don't actually kill them they may end up being a vegeable depending on the angle of entry)

and of course recapped and there are a variety of pen through bills that don't require gimmicks.

Cant really use the paddle idea because the printed logo goes all around the pen. I like the idea of vanishing the pen, although maybe il use a gimmick rather than slight of hand. I just remembered Sankey's 'dough' effect for a pen through note type of thing. I think i have it on one of his dvds somewhere

It doesn't really matter if you're vanishing a pen lid or an elephant. If the pen lid looks like it has just disappeared, job done IMO.

Dough would be a nice idea too.
