No but it looks interesting.

I must get around to watching the disc this weekend.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

I don't think it's supposed to be a trick. More a novelty item. Pricey, too.

I got one! It sits atop one of my bookshelves. It was a gift from another magician when I was in England my first time, so I had him sign and date it.

Pretty cool, really. I don't know how he got the cards in there and, truth be told, I don't want to know. I just know that it looks good sitting on that book shelf. :P

Mike.

Edit: On a side note - the neck of the bottle is a great deal thinner that the one pictured.

Maybe he made the deck piece by piece like those ship things :D. And he has some sort of resin or something that takes away the seams :P. (Oh, am I revealing the method??)

I think it's in one of the Paul Harris Art of Astonishment books. He describes the method of getting an (almost) full deck into a bottle like that.

Conceptually, I do not see this as a complicated matter, athough it may involve a bit of time. Let me experiment.

From what I understand, the deck is a normal deck of 52 Bicycle cards (plus, I assume the Jokers and advertising cards) in new deck order, complete with seal and wrapped in the original cellophane. That is, it is a perfectly normal deck of Bicycle playing cards.

I have no idea how they do it, but I assume the bottle is made around the deck. Seeing as I have no clue as to how glass bottles are manufactured, this theory could be completely and utterly wrong. Pretty cool, though. Wouldn't mind having one on my desk.

I have already put a full deck in a bottle. I am currently working on the sealed deck in bottle. I've figured it out but have not had the time to devote to it.

Henry Eng was the master at this particular craft

I know there is a guy in British Columbia who makes the deck in bottle and I believe he sells them, I just can't remember his name off the top of my head

As bmat and sleightlycrazy have pointed out there's a whole section in one of the AoAs about how to get all sorts of stuff into bottles, loosely based around Harry Eng's work. I'm sure with the right sort of bottle and some extra stuff you could do a deck-into-bottle effect that would astound and confuse to a high degree. Personally I like the ping-pong in bottle more, for no real reason.

They make a vacuum by taking all the oxygen out somehow, then quickly push the deck in (which is sucked in by the vacuum).

No I dont have a clue - other's suggestions are better than mine :P

They actually put one of those mini-decks in and water it.

I know someone who sells these beasts... they look great.

Very confusing - and very clever.
I might buy one off him actually...

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism
