ok I've just returned today from a fantastic holiday in Thailand and Singapore.

While in Singapore I met with a number of the local magicians there who I had a whale of time doing magic with and drinking some nights away.

It turns out one of the guys "Shade" is over in the UK for a competition with his school (he's the teacher not a pupil) flying on the 27th June (this Friday) and will be here for 5 days or so.

So what I'm asking is this, he will have a couple of days/nights free time with which to fill his time, sadly I can't engineer my self to be in that part of the world otherwise I would as he's a great guy and an amazing magician. Will anyone from the area be free to meet up with him? Have coffee, drinks or what have you.

He really did play a great host and I'd love to be able to help him out here. He's also a fantastic teacher of moves and takes on complete novices but trust me he can play with the best. He has probably the best strike deal I've ever seen as just one example.

Im going to a footy tournament Saturday though.. our team are planning to get knocked out in the first round so we can be in the pub by 12pm

I'm just down the road from Brum and I'm probably going to make a visit to World Magic Shop on Saturday morning so could make a meet.

Great stuff, I'm not sure when his two free days are at the moment but he should get back to me by tomorrow I hope.

I know he flys on friday which means he won't be arriving till Saturday. I guess it depends when the competition is.

if his free day is the weekend I'll see if I can get down to see him as well, I owe him several drinks.

Should be say Monday 30th June at about 6? If you PM me your number I'll pass it onto him. I'll find out his hotel, it might be easier for you to meet him there perhaps as he obviously won't know his way around.

The plan seems to be that he goes to World Magic Shop during the day and hangs out there (Cheers Costas) then meets with ID and maybe others in the evening?
I'll find out the hotel when he lands!

Ok he gave me the wrong details but I've now spoken to him

He's free tomorrow and monday

So Monday I was think Magic Shop and hopefully ID can meet him in the evening after work? He's staying the Comfort Inn on station road so he's right by the rail station and should be easy to find.

He's all free tomorow now! So..... I might come down with a magical mate of mine to meet him for coffee(beer if not driving), lunch, a session etc in the city centre (need to confirm with magical friend first)

I'd be thinking meeting between 12-1PM at say BB coffee and muffins at the top of the esculators in the station? That's about the only place i can remember in Birmingham and I'm sure its something he can find as well.

Even if I can't make it I wonder if any of you guys will be able to?
