Hello to everyone!

My name is Anonymous. But people call me Anony for short.

I was always into magic as a child, and even did magic shows in my primary school talent shows. But unfortuantly as I grew up, Girls, Drink and Rock and Roll took me away from magic.

I'm unsure on what made me pick up some, but I grabbed a Marvins Magic Svengali deck from Hamleys about two and a half to three years ago. From then, it has spiraled out of control! Well, not completely. But I do seem to have about 20 to 25 decks of cards sat on my "magic" shelf of various types of gimmicked and styled decks. Which I think is a bit silly for just a hobbyist.

As I am sure you can tell, I prefer card magic. Though I do like to have a play with sponge balls, rope and the classic linking rings.

I do not tend to perform for people, even though I always have a deck of cards in my hands. I do though test most magic on friends (after I have practised to myself a load first) and they seem to enjoy and become suprised on the outcome. But unfortuantly, no matter how much I practise and know tricks off by heart, my nerves and lack of confidence get the better of me. But I am hoping one day to overcome this.

I have been thinking about lately getting some of the classic childrens magic props; Run Rabbit Run, Hippety Hop Rabbit, Die Box. I like performing for my nephew of five years and I have always been good with kids. So I would like to get into performing for them. I believe that I would be less concious on getting a trick 'wrong' for children as they will most likely not notice, and this will calm my nerves.
Plus I just want these tricks for myself to play!

Anyway. I think I have wrote enough and I can't believe it has taken me this long to even write my introduction!
