Card Splitting - A Quick Tip and a Short Story.

Seems obvious, to me. Maybe you already know, maybe you never even thought about it...

When splitting cards, I always split from the non-index corner. The corner you split from might be a bit messier, so if someone is going to be holding the card, they will look at the index and will probably be holding the non-index. I don't think it makes a huge amount of difference, but you might as well, because it is no extra work...

The story...
I had my own card split, in the middle of a deck. I opened the deck, saying, ' I'll just take the red kings out,' (I was being careful not to reveal the back). I did a short trick where all the "freely selected" (forced) cards jump about all over the place - middle of the deck, top of the deck, over her, over there...

Anyway, there was only about ten of us but I had them crowded in, all angles, the double was held horizontally, so no-one could tell anything...

That night, I witnessed the world stand still, you could hear their jaws smash on the groud and all their teeth fall out and roll away, (metaphorically, of course...). "No way, Mate - I don't want to play this game any more..." - one guy said... I went away feeling pretty happy with that performance, something that'll i'll remember...

Sounds like the performance went great. May I now ask a very basic question - 'splitting cards'? what do you actually mean by that?

This will tell you about splitting cards. http://www.wowbound.com/split.html The page design makes it very difficult to read. I suggest positioning the cursor somewhere on the page and hitting ctrl+A.

Thanks Alan my knowledge is increased even though I just can't bring myself to mutilate my cards like that!
