Hey everyone, my name is Conor. I am 14 years old and got into magic about one month ago.
I had always been kind of interested in card magic but then my friend showed me the YouTube clip of Derren Brown performing the card trick on Stephen Fry and I was hooked.

I have been practicing for about a month now and have some experience in performing a few tricks for my patient friends and inspeakably tolerant family.

I am getting to the stage also where I think I might buy some book(s) about card magic. I have a budget of about €30. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Anyway, thanks for reading this (if you did). Any suggestions/tips would be welcomed. I hope I have a great time on this site.

Royal Road to Card magic is a great book to get you started on cards or if you wanted something that covers a wider range of magic, Mark Wilson's Complete Course might be worth a look.
