What did peeps think?

Personally I thought it was good, however they are getting into a habit of having him in close to death situations....

I agree that it's getting a bit much to have House injured or ill so frequently.

I really liked the episode, but it would be awfully harsh for someone to blame House for what happened (I'm being cagey in case anyone's not watched it yet). Good job the person concerned is incredibly soft.

I was also intrigued by Cuddy staying by House and holding his hand.

I think the series (as in all series of House, not the individual seasons) can only end in one of two ways. Cuddy and House get together and diagnose off into the sunset or, my preference, House gives up his life for Wilson.

That's exactly what I said when I first saw House. Also there's only so many seasons they can make before it starts to become the same. In essence all the episodes are quite similar and after a while people will get bored, just like with lost, how can they still keep making more and more seasons? It really baffles me.

I had no idea that America were filling people's lungs with ice slurry in an emergency setting - I'd never even heard of it! Did a quick google search and apparently it's not totally made up, but I can't see any indication that anyone uses it yet. I know there's some evidence for the use of giving saline slurry instead of fluids for the same effect, but I can't help feeling that filling someone's lungs is going to be problematic... :?

Anyhoo, apart from the ridiculous medical stuff, I do think they're going a bit far with the "House has to nearly kill himself to find the diagnosis" thing. Also, since when would House actually go for "medical hypnosis"?! Out of character I think.

But overall, I just found the last episode to be incredibly sad. Granted, I was knackered after a week of deadlines and an exam, but I couldn't help putting myself in Wilson's place - won't blow it incase anyone's got it on Sky+ or something but... what he had to do, at the end... how harsh is that?! It actually really upset me!

On a lighter note, it did amuse me in the penultimate episode that they did that whole thing with the Cuddy fantasy. They may have just said "the next two minutes is purely dedicated to you Dr. Cuddy pervs."

I personally think they're just rambling on. Then I watched the finale and I will watch another season now.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

It does have to be said however - it took House an annoyingly long time to figure out the -

"Who am I?"
"What's my necklace made of?"
"Who am I?"
"What's my necklace made of?

Which lasted about 10 minutes longer than it should've.

Also, is it just me, or did they forget, with all the confusion of her not having any kidneys, that she had some kind of metal pipe through her leg?

All the best,
Croz

Yeah, that annoyed me too Croz, wasn't half as subtle as it should have been.

Re. the pipe, once they'd stopped the bleeding and given her some antibiotics there wouldn't be much else to go wrong, kidneys are more significant.

One thing did puzzle and annoy me though, and I'd look it up if I wasn't revising/could be arsed: why had she taken too much? I'm presuming the kidney damage was to do with the crash, which means any of that drug she had taken before then would be out of her system. If the kidney damage meant she couldn't clear the drug, it would just mean she would have a therapeutic dose in her body for longer, it wouldn't mean an overdose.

Grr.

With reference to Polite Dissent:

The Kidney damage is due to the crash, amatadine bioaccumulates into toxic levels, since it hasnt been removed by the broken kidneys.

polite dissent:

The dose for the flu is 100MG twice a day. The only size pill Amantadine comes in is 100MG, so Amber taking two means that she was overdosing herself on it, so she bears some of the blame for this.

Dunno if that clears it up.....

btw, I have lost my social life to watching me house DVDs, oh yeah!

Peronally, I never warmed up to CB and I wasn't that sad to see her go. I was upset, though, that Wilson was upset.

I can't remember much about the rest, though. I'm in the States so I saw it several weeks ago.
