I've had good experiences from MAGICMagic, and Merchant of Magic, however, I'll single out

MagicNevin and Dude That's Cool Magic as two of my favourites. I recently had a problem with something I ordered from MagicNevin, and they gave me a credit note very quickly, and their delivery and service is always first class.

I haven't had any problems with Dude That's Cool Magic (except the vanishing cane I ordered from them shot out of the box when I opened it, and ended up behind my wardrobe!). Mike is always very quick to answer questions, and delivery is usually next day. Prices are usually very reasonable too.

I'm also just back from holiday to Blackpool, and had a very good time visiting JB Magic, owned by Mark Mason. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and took time to explain things, and were more than happy to demonstrate anything I wanted to see. First class service, great selection, and I'd highly recommend a visit the next time anyone is in the area.

As an accredited CUPSmeister, I'll give my vote of confidence to:

Prudhoe, MagicMagic and World Magic Shop

Gems...one and all!

On prices alone (never have had to contact a store for customer services), I'd say Magic Nevin has amongst the cheapest goods. They sell some of their products on Ebay, but if you spend over £5.00 (i.e. highly likely), postage is free. I purchased a few items from Prudhoe and the delivery and handwritten thanks on the invoice made it that bit more personal. Also, Wizmomagic has some cheap sponge balls at 40p each and some cheap gaffed cards (double sided, blank, etc.) at 20p each that you can specify subject to availability. Prices are generally OK on this site, but their range is limited. I'd give my gold medal to Magic Nevin though.

Magic Nevin are superb. Probably the best prices around and free postage. However, I'm almost certain they take a loss on smaller orders as they can't possibly have a very high margin on their low prices coupled with free postage and packing.

I've noticed Magic Nevin now have a minimum order of £10 for free shipping. Maybe they took onboard your observations! They are still cheap however, the only effect the £10 minimum order for free postage will be the purchasing of extra items, if i was to place a small order, which will have an adverse effect on CUPS. Incidentally, there are some incredibly cheap products on the shop of the Chicago Magician website: http://www.magicmgmt.com/joomla/

I live in the UK so the UPS international shipping charge of about $80 (honestly!) is ridiculous. However, for our American friends stock is the cheapest I've seen, and may be of interrest to you: for instance, Slydini Silks cost $29.96, which works out as around £15, and Flare by Alpha Magic costs $26.21. It's a shame the international shipping is so high, as looking at other products, these also are incredibly cheap.
