this is far easier, but no vanish...

get someone to glimpse a card...and then you throw the cards into the pool...

you dive into the pool and into the cards - you come out, with their card..

and it wouldnt cost you anything, other than a new deck of cards...hey use plastic ones and repeat...

Something interesting:

Get someone to pick a card, then walk to the diving board. They see 'you' jumping off the board, into the pool, then as 'you' are diving they throw the pack of cards at 'you'. The person who climbs out of the pool isn't you.

And you come around the corner (or somewhere) holding their selected card.

Do-able, and cheap, I think, lol. With a diving cap, goggles, and a twin brother somewhere haha. Or just someone with a similar build.
