Hello One and All....

Postby philnitro » Jul 17th, '08, 17:14

Hello everyone,

I found this site today browsing whilst bored in work and thought that I'd register and hope I can learn and improve new skills that I will be learning.

The reason for me wanting to take up this profession (currently it is just a hobby in my spare time) is because I have made a list of things that i've said i've always wanted to do but never got round to it. So.. this is not a fad e.g. recently watching David Blane or Criss Angel... although they are pretty good, well Criss is anyway.
Learning Magic Tricks and illusions has always fansinated me since i was 7 or 8 and I was bought my first magic kit for xmas that year.
I have learnt a few little things over the years but nothing that would make you question what has just happened, really you would just yawn, point and laugh then walk away feeling like you've lost 5 minutes of your life and I'm the one that took it from you.
But now... I'm here ready and willing to learn then blow the socks off people who are willing to stand around and watch.

I hope to make some good friends and get help when needed, also I hope that I can give advise to anyone when the time is right.

Kind Regards,

Nitro

Hiya welcome to TM :)

A good book to get you started is Mark Wilson's Complete Course, covers a wide range of magic really well.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
