To be a professional Magician you have to do it as your profession, that doesn't mean learning some tricks and putting signs up, which will be a start but to call yourself a professional Magician is gonna take work not just a birthday. Plus there were some magicians that were professional when they were 16 so don't be discouraged because of age.

That's how I've always felt about it and always will. However, now-a-days there is a group (fairly large group, in fact) that feels if you have a "professional attitude" then you are, in fact, a professional magician regardless of your performing situation (i.e. semi-pro or amateur).

Even the term "semi-pro" is now being questioned and many are suggesting that the term "part time professional" should be used in lieu of "semi-pro."

Just some thoughts...
