Stage show.

Postby MagicMatt777 » Jul 22nd, '08, 20:08

Some people recently requested that I do a stage show with people on both sides atleast 5-6 feet for the closest people. I have never done a stage show only close up work, does anyone have any ideas of what I could do? ( im on a $100, or less budget) * It is indoors* Thanks for the help, Matt

Centre tear, billet and envelope work. Perhaps swami. Cheap as chips and far more effective than a $100 worth of gimmicks.

Or just go for the whole stage medium thing and freak everyone out. You do that, you'll get laid young man.

Okay, okay, ignore that. You're too young to have sex and nobody can really talk to dead people. It just made me giggle.

As your 14 swap stage medium for balloon modeling and you'll get laid.

But yeah a bit of billet work is a sound way to go or else some rope magic, neither requiring masses of money to be spent.

How long have you got to go on for?

There's lots that you could do, ropes always work really well. I perform a version on Tabary's 3 rope routine, his DVD is well worth getting hold of if you're interested in ropes.

Misers Dream is a very good classic and so is 20th Century Silks. It all depends on what type of magic you want to perform, what the audience is and how long you've got to be on stage for.

this doesnt sound like stage to me, more caberet.

now. you told us about how close the front rows are.. how far away are the back?
because if you only have say, five rows, then this audience are close enough for you to do close up.

like they do ate every single magic convention.
