Hi all,

I have been offered tickets to see Marc Salem at the Shaw Theatre and was wondering if anyone has come across his mentalism show before, and if so is it worth going to see?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

The Quin

yes!

Marc's style is good, solid , old style mentalism.

Nothing like Derrens aproach.

And a great evenings entertainment.

Unusually I was at home earlier than normal yesterday and saw the last 10 seconds or so of his appearance on the Richard and Judy Show (or, more accurately at the moment, the Richard and Baby Spice Show!) but he was explaining ideomotor processes and how the brain can be aware of things without knowing which sometimes gets confused with psychic ability. Despite all this apparent openness he still baffled brilliantly!

you know the first time i saw Marc work
I sat there the whole show thinking..

"why am i sat here , i should be up there doing it!"

because i could do everything he was doing.. blindfolded.

( except ironicaly enough, his blindfold act. I'm way to short sighted.)

It was an enjoyable show. Audience on the thin side though, which was a shame. And a fair few IM customers in the audience.Quite a few of the tricks were easy spots if you've read your Corinda & Luke Jermay, but well-presented.

But all round a good night out - he's an engaging performer and funny and not as mumbling as I'd been led to believe. I'd like to see him working a bigger (or certainly fuller) venue next time. Marc also took the time to say hi to everyone after the show. Go see him if you have the chance.
