Not a particularly good performance of the trick. Another occasion of a novice trying to perform magic, and doing it poorly. God bless YouTube :?

Dynamo has a much better take on this. He pops a polo mint in his mouth before he does it, and when the string comes back out of his neck the mint is threaded onto it.

Unfortunately, that move isn't actually Dynamo's take on the effect - it's taught, as standard, on the DVD, along with another couple of subtleties

i think saw is a crappy trick. Allways have done, and always will.

it will never cement a relationship with the audience because it lacks logic.

and logic, is the glue that keeps the bond between performer and audience solid.

You're sounding like Blackstone Jr complaining about the Impalement Illusion and bitching that he'd not do the Buzz Saw if his father hadn't made it so famous.

and my on stage persona, crosses even the widest, and brightest of footlights.

I didn't actually think that Dynamo invented that version. I just meant that he does it that way, and I much prefer it like that because, as iffy as the effect actually is, having a mint seemingly pop out of your neck at the end adds an extra red-herring to keep the technique a secret. Although it's Pritty obvious that most people on this thread are aware of how it's done :p
