LAS VEGAS MAGICAL SHOW

Postby riccared » Aug 1st, '08, 09:16

Hi everybody! :D

This is my first post here, so please forgive me for any mistake and for my not-so-good english...

I'm Richard, I'm Italian and I'm not a professional magician, although I consider Magic one of my favourite hobbies. I'm member of two magic clubs in Italy and IMS lifetime member. I attended several magic shows and lectures (Copperfield, Colombini, Brachetti, Silvan, Max Maven, Eugene Burger, Blackpool Convention 2007 & 2008, Sain Vincent 2008, and many others).

Next August I'll coronate a dream: being in Las Vegas for my very first time! To celebrate this event, I've booked a seat for Lance Burton's show, and I'm really thrilled to the idea to be there!

I think I'll see the McKing show, too. My question, for anyone who could be so kind to drop me a line, is: is there any other suggestion to make this LV experience even more unforgettable? I'll stay in LV 2 days and 3 nights.

Thanks everybody, and happy holidays! 8)

If they are still on....go see Penn & Teller. Absolutely top class.

Outside of magic show suggestions you need to have a trip to the Grand Canyon. We did it in a helipcopter which was well worth it. It actual takes you into the bottom of the canyon which is not an experience you get on one of the coach trips...and it is a lot quicker. A coach trip takes 3 weeks to get there and back (maybe not 3 weeks but if you are only there for a few days you don't want to be sat on a coach).

You can waste away the days very easily in the casino's They are huge, each with their own specific themes and entertainments.

Enjoy.

Hi, many thanks for your suggestions! I'm Italian, and a friend of mine told me that to cpmpletely enjoy P&T show one has to understand english very very well, since they speak a lot and obviously what they say is an important element for the show itself...

That's why I decided for LB, which I expect ought to be more a "traditional" magic show in which the spoken things (I hope!) are less vital to the enjoyment of the performance...

Apart from magic, I DO have a trip in the Canyon by helicopter! I've already booked with Papillon Tour Operator the 1-hour trip, it'll be a fantastic experience! :D

In fact, LV will be only part of my trip; I'll arrive in Los Angeles and then, hired a car, I'll visit San Francisco, Yosemite, Death Valley, Bryce, Zion, Arches, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon before reaching LV

So... yes, I think I'll enjoy! 8)

Bye!

Make sure you take plenty of drinking water into Death Valley, check out Badwater Creek and, when driving to Las Vegas, don't excede the speed limits - the Police use planes and helicopters to check speeds so you won't see 'em!

Ooooh Yosemite is the greatest place I have ever been. I'm not sure the waterfalls will be still flowing at this time of year but still very spectacular.

If you go up to Glacier point you will see the greatest landscape I've certainly ever seen and I found the Grand Canyon a disappointment after being spoilt.

With Vegas you will find it virtually impossible not to have a good time.

Yosemite.... the only problem, now, is the fire which is devastating the zone :x

And the smoke, as well, which could affect the landscape from GP. I hope that all will be over in the next 15 days...

Water? Yes, I'll carry with me always a HUGE reserve of water!

And I'll pay attention to speed limits. Thanks evryone for your advices!

Make sure you see Mac King he's hillarious.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.
