Firstly, I can imagine that there would already be a post about this, so i apologize.

Something happened to me the other day where I was going to show a card trick, but an even better climax happened. I didn't ask for it to happen - it just did. I asked someone to name a card, and they named the two of clubs. I then was going to find it in a poker deal fashion (I was testing out a trick). I wound up dealing an Ace, Three, Four and Five of clubs in the first face up hand. They were pretty wowed by that (they had shuffled the deck, then I had continued). But they were old cards and I had dropped two whilst shuffling.

"Hey what are those two doing there" someone asked, hoping for a bigger climax (or trying to catch me out). She turned them over and they were the Two of Hearts and the Two of Spades (no diamonds ) They were so amazed that I thought I would just find the two of clubs on the offbeat and make it appear in my shoe.

Mine was when I took out the cards from the box and asked the spec to name a card, I looked through the deck of cards and couldn't find the card they named.

I knew it was a complete deck so i was pretty stumped until I looked in the box and lo and behold I'd left just one card behind and it was the very card they named! (pure accident)

I let them take the card out and I walked away, no way could I follow that up.

I've had a residency in a restaurant in Glasgow for nearly 3 years.

Now, I NEVER answer the phone - why would I? However, there was this night a couple of months ago when I just happened to be standing near the phone and it rang. I ignored it but everyone was busy and the manager nodded at me so I answered it...

Unbelievably, it was someone looking for the magician! She couldn't believe that I had answered the phone... and neither could I.

She was wanting to book me for a party so I took the booking there and then.

What are the chances???

I was once in a bar, playing poker with a friend, I'd just lost a hand so I struck up a bet with him - he names any two cards and I'd find them together in the deck, he names two cards, lets say an ace and 5, first two cards are an ace and a 5 I have him shuffle the deck, double or nothing he names lets say a queen and a 6 first two cards - queen and six.

He thought it was a trick (it wasn't) and still has no idea how i did it. Unfortunately he no longer takes bets with me.

I did something similar to the above, except I said well were this far go ahead and give me the suits of the cards, and it worked, TWICE. I was more amazed than the volunteer.
