Your daily Tarot card reading...

Postby themagicwand » Aug 7th, '08, 11:11

I saw this in a tarot forum I frequent and thought it might be a bit of fun for TM. Basicaly everyday I do a 3 card tarot spread to tell you how the day is going to pan out. A bit like a daily horoscope. Simple.

Please note - this is just a bit of fun. I would rather it didn't become an excuse for psychic bashing and tarot rubbishing. If however you would like to join the fun, please feel free to post such words as "Wow! How does he do it?" or "Completely accurate! He has a gift for sure!" I promise not to nick such quotations to use of my website. Honest.

Anyway, your tarot reading for today 7th August 2008 is:

King of Wands.
Seven of Cups.
Judgement.

You have plenty of dreams, plans and ambitions. However you are often like a child in a sweet shop - one minute your destiny lies down this path, but a week later you change your mind and you're sure your destiny lies down a different path. If you could only decide on a course of action and really stick to it, you could achieve great things.

You also feel at times that others around you, particularly those in parental roles or positions of authority, don't take you seriously enough. You sometimes feel patronised or frustrated. People may smile and say encouraging words, but really you feel they're just paying you lip service. They don't understand how important your dreams are to you.

Deep down you have something to prove. You really want to show these people who patronise you just what you're capable of. There are also issues from your past that if you were to annalyse them deeply enough you may find are the real motivators behind your dreams. It's almost as though you're running away from something, but you have never really escaped. Perhaps by making your dreams come true, this issue from your past can be resolved? Probably not, but that's how your psyche imagines things.

You're obviously a very complicated character. You are certainly deeper than most friends and even family realise. Let us see how things develop tomorrow...

Don't take it too seriously. Just a bit of fun. Not out to change anyone's viewpoint. :D

Not quite that fickle but I like variety and change - 6/10
If you could only decide on a course of action and really stick to it, you could achieve great things.
That's so true of most people - 9/10
You also feel at times that others around you, particularly those in parental roles or positions of authority, don't take you seriously enough. You sometimes feel patronised or frustrated. People may smile and say encouraging words, but really you feel they're just paying you lip service.
Very close 9/10
They don't understand how important your dreams are to you.
I'd use' appreciate' rather than 'understand' but 8/10

I'm very individual and like what I like so this assessment is on the right lines - 6 and a bit/10
You're obviously a very complicated character. You are certainly deeper than most friends and even family realise.
I think most people will relate well to that - 9/10
Let us see how things develop tomorrow...
Oooh yes please!

I know this isn't the thread for skepticism, but may I politely and with respect ask how this can work? Are the readings aimed at only certain forum members or all of us? If it's all of us how can one paragraph apply to everyone unless (a) we all have a similar day, or (b) the readings are very vague?

It's aimed at us all and is just a bit of fun. It obviously means nothing at all. It would be impossible to do an accurate reading for every member of TM in just one or two paragraphs. But I thought this would be a fun thing to do each day. Please please please don't take it in any way seriously - although the cards I drew were genuine and the reading authentic for those cards.

So at long last, here is YOUR reading (that's right, this is just for YOU, nobody else :D ) for today Friday 8th August. I apologise for the reading being a bit late, but I got dragged off this morning to watch "Space Chimps" at the cinema with my kids. I kid you not.

Page of Cups.
The World.
Six of Wands.

Today will be a day of steady progress, with things generally going in your direction but in a very "one step at a time" kind of way. However as the day progresses you begin to see how life moves in cycles. A cycle of your life is coming to an end right now, and that feels very natural and right. There's very little emotion tied in with this "turning of the tide", you're neither delighted nor terrified by the prospect, it simply seems like a very natural thing to be happening right now.

By the end of the day you will have made far more progress than seemed possible earlier in the morning. Indeed there may be good reason to have a celebration or a "parade", however you're not that kind of person. A quiet drink (even just a nice cup of tea at home) will suit you just fine. Other more crass people may have been tempted to pop open the champagne and dance naked on the table, but you're somewhat more refined than that.

You will be feeling good by the end of the day, and will have a warm glow of optimism about the future radiating around you. Even if you did have to sit through 90 minutes of "Space Chimps" this morning.

Your Daily Tarot will return on Monday. Have a good weekend. I predict lots of smiles all round.

Great Readings Wand.. very apt to how I'm feeling :)

But incidentally folks, this is a technique that I highly reccomend if you want to learn your Tarots. Just pick one card in the morning.. write down your impressions in a book. Then before your night time "routine", write a couple of words of observation of the day.. bit like a Tarot diary.

You'll learn the cards in a deep and more personal way by going over this process. It can also be harmless therapeautic fun if treated with the write balance of respect and attitude. :)
