We seem to have many reviews, but since I've joined the reviews I've seen

all give the effects 8, 9, or 10s in some cases. Why is there such a lack of

reviews on effects that we dislike. We can't possibly like everything we

purchase? Just something I've noticed.

Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Scoring is a subjective matter and when you think about it, people don't often spend their money on something that is absolute pants.

If you're shelling out £20 upwards for something then more often than not you're going to have a fairly god idea what is is and why you want it.

People may be a little disappointed in what they get and knock their socre down to 7 or 8 to reflect this but will still generally think about some of the better points.

There have been a few reviews where people have bought something that has been really hyped up and just look for the Ellusionist reviews if you want to find these lower scores.

O.K. I don't want to see them but it seemed odd. I don't know what I want anymore.

Dat is right; I hardly ever buy something I'd rate as less than a 7/10.

I was disappointed with the 'Fat Pack', and my review did not give it a high mark. I decided to review it partly because I thought it was a missed opportunity for something that might have been really useful to magicians and partly because I wanted to let other forum members know what they'd be getting (as there wasn't a lot of information about exactly what you got).

Another reason why you don't get many low scoring reviews is that people may feel that someone will like the product, and it's just that it is not for them. I think some people feel bad about slating a product that might be really good for another performer.

Also, if you buy a rubbish product, you might not feel inclined to spend ages persevering with it and then writing a review.
