I personally don't answer these kinds of questions - i know you're not asking "how is this done" per se...

but by asking is this a stooge or not, its tipping the method if that's how its done..

just enjoy the clip, and remember, tv show magic, the performer has a whole team behind him creating effects...so just see if you can use those clips you post as inspiration for your own work rather than anything else..

then again, you may get someone else to give you all the answers..

David Blaine is an absolute legend when it comes to street magic but because he has a show which allows him to become on televison he can perform some incredible feats which are beyond the possibility of slieght of hand. What I am trying to say is that because the trick is performed on television he has the possibility to get paid actors to act in tricks which cannot be accomplished by any means of slieght of hand. I am not saying David Blaine is a fraud in all of his tricks because most of them are genuine, however some tricks like these are just not possible without the help of an actor/s. So, yes an actor was most likely used in this trick.

I got lucky with a "girl" about three years ago - she could remove her own teeth. Didn't know that at the start of the night - only later......!!

Ok, lets analyse this. Not to downtalk Blaine, some of his stuff is amazing and I like it.

But,

1. If you were out on the street would you just let someone walk up and put their hands in your mouth? I wouldnt even if it was Blaine

2. If you watch the clip, right before he "removes the teeth" you can see what looks like false teeth slipping around into her jaw.

3. Before he blows the teeth back in her mouth look at her face. See the big buldge in her lower lip and jaw? (hidden false teeth)

I cant say for a fact this is the case, but from watching the video thats what it looks like to me. Like I said I like Blaine he is great, but in my eyes this was a bad trick with a bad camera angle. I was not impressed at all.

Sorry Lambert, but we do not expose here! Even if you do think he uses stooges, it's not to be revealed on this forum!

Sorry, wasn't trying to expose anything. Thats why at the end I tried to make it clear that I didn't know how it was done. This was just my observations from the video. Anyone thats sees the video could have seen exactly what I mentioned. Like I said really bad camera angles.

However, I will try to be more careful about my comments in future posts.

Also, like I said, I wasn't trying to down talk Blaine. A lot of his stuff is great! He just didn't impress me with this effect.
