Help with Aardvark

Postby roblane » Aug 25th, '04, 13:26

Hi,
I've been reading reviews, tips and other stuff on the forums for several months now, but guess I've been too shy, ( or busy, maybe even lazy?) to write. Bit rude of me really.
Anyway, what's even more of a cheek, is that I now need some help, hints, tips ( or all of the above!) from you guys.
A few weeks ago, I purchased Sean Fields ' Cream', having wanted to be able to perform a bill switch for ages,( 'cos it'll fit in at work nicely).
Love the idea, and the routine is fine, but the aardvark! Gordon Bennett! I know practice is the key, but any tips on using the 's' gimmick, ( is it ok to say 'sanada'?) would be very much appreciated!
Also, after reading reviews of cream on these very pages, I ordered Cloaking Device dvd on suggestion of another reviewer but when it arrived yesterday it refused to play! O well, back to TT practice then! :?

My only tips for using the Sanada gimmick, are to soak it in hot water and mould it to fit a little better. You may need to also trim it in places.

Scott F. Guinn uses it very effectively with sponge balls, and it certainly has it's place in magic.

It's another case of practice practice practice I'm afraid.

As the the DVD. If it doesn't play, then it has to go back to the shop you bought it from, as I am sure they will happily replace it for you.

Henry Evans also uses this gimmick very effectively for the production of a silk with his hand in a clear sealed plastic bag. Actually it disappears from one hand and reappears in his other. Personally it's a gimmick that I haven't had much success with, but then I gave up pretty quickly.

I remember the early Sanada Gimmicks.Everybody was buying them because the demo given by Shimada, ( he of the endless umberella act) was so great.
I have to admit I couldn’t see the posibilities of the thing. Anyway, I can still remember people moaning on the coach all the way home, because their gimmicks had melted.
You see the early ones were made from dental wax, and it was a hot summer. :D

only real advice i can give at the moment is to treat it like a tt and only let it be flashed if absolutely required, treat it like the kaps subltey.
some makes are better than others and price dosn't seem to effect quality.
