Very professionally produced manuscript and video.

The effect is very nice, I can definitely see me using this. Thank you for sharing. :D

This is an excellent effect, and I have to agree with heronjester that it is a highly professional product as well.

Top marks to Queen of Clubs and Iain.

i'll say thanks and collect some plaudits - even though i didnt really do anything apart from say "hey..you could use esp cards too..."

the hard work, and the idea itself is 100% Queen of Clubs...

for those that have this - can i be mildly rude and ask how much would you have been happy to pay for an effect like this please? you dont have to answer..I'm just being curious...

i thought she was mad to not charge something for this personally..

I would've been happy with 10-15 $ personally. I really really like this.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Oh, in that case, I take it back.

:)

I think it's got a lot of possibilities, as mentioned previously. Tarot cards, matching photographs, celebrity couples' names (I knew you'd choose Jordan and Peter Andre).

It's hard to say what I'd have paid for this, because I never buy single trick downloads, and because I think they are often over-priced anyway. I think it's worth at least a fiver, possibly up to a tenner. It's a very good effect, adaptable, can be done impromptu and an all-round nice bit of thinking. Yes, up to £10, I think.

Thin ice, I think!

You could even do a joke effect, where you get a mismatched couple, like Daniel Radcliffe and Madonna, but of course you still got it right!

Thinking about it some more, you can get cards with Hollywood Legends on them (I've seen a few different packs, although only a couple have entirely different stars on every card). You could create a film prediction with two stars of yesteryear, maybe even use a poster from an actual film for the prediction.

The photograph idea could be identical pictures, two images that go together (cup and saucer), two random images (which you happen to have predicted, like a rubber snake on a rocking horse), or perhaps two halves of a torn photograph (young lovers separated by tragedy?).

Sometimes a rubber snake on a rocking horse is just a rubber snake on a rocking horse.

Actually, I thought of the rocking horse, then had to come up with something that would stay put on its back. So the obvious choice was a rubber snake.

really like this, will be using as soon as ive got the moves learnt.

maybe a kind of thread hi-jack (sorry if it is Kate and and mods please move if you think it is)

but if there are a few people on here who have developed effects (and dont mind giving them away for free), perhaps they could be bundled together a one big download with a big 'Talk Magic' logo on it to help increase awareness and gain new members?

what does everyone think?

:?

If we do that to attract new members, first off we'll be filled with lots of new members asking how david blaine did this or Criss Angel staged this.

Second off this would promote something our site is not, and that is revealing tricks. So like I said we'll be filled with can someone tell me how ellusionist tricks work.

I don't want our forum flooded with those kinds of people.

Very clever thinking here - I think I'll be using this one a lot.

To address IAIN's question about price point: This effect is certainly very good - so good it *IS* worth money. However, as I said before, I find it very admirable that Kate is willing to put some stuff out there to make a reputation - rather than building one through hype, which is something we've seen many trick inventors do.

Personally, I very, very, very rarely buy single effects - but if I saw something like this from someone releasing another product, it certainly get my attention and make me think seriously about buying their book/DVD/etc.

Well done Queen of Clubs!

This is a lovely effect!

I think I actually like the impromptu version more than the set up one. I can imagine being able to set it up easily and naturally on the spot. I was pleased that the impromptu version was not a watered down version of the effect (like impromtu versions often are). The main move itself it really not very difficult either which is great.

I like the simplicity of the thinking here for this double prediction and the apparent fairness of the selections. I'll definately give it a go soon
