you must be one of the unlucky ones then!

I have never, ever had anybody ask to examine the box!

Great thing though, as you have seen, is that it is very hard to notice :P

This is deeply intriguing. If the description is truly correct then I am going to have to buy this because it seems impossible, but I'm a little worried that the description might be ever-so-slightly misleading, as most descriptions of magic tricks are.

For instance, ".PERFECTION" by Oz Pearlman (which, incidentally, I consider to be the best card effect in the world) is described as spectator takes half of the deck, you take the other half, and every single card ends up matching all the way through the deck, but I've emboldened the bits of that description that are not totally accurate.

These things are unavoidable in effect descriptions, of course, in order to not give away the secret, but I often wonder when I read stuff like that whether it's going to work out to be totally true. I even crumbled and bought Ellusionist's "Factory Sealed" because it plainly said in the description that you can do this with a bottle that is factory sealed. Swines!

Here's my pre-purchase question: Can the spectator open the card case and take out their signed card?

short answer?

nope

Long answer?

Alas, no they cannot

You have to be the one to take the card out of the box I'm afraid.

On that note there's a way of making it even less obvious.

I understood the title to mean "box entirely surrounded by Beardy". First thought: he swallowed it?

Is it like Intact where the signed card is seen in a tic-tac box?

well, it isn't anything to do with tic tacs, a tic tac box, and the playing card box is opaque, so I would assume not!

Well, I got scabies :(

On the bright side, I also got a new trick of the same name which might entice the girls (until the find out I have scabies :( )

Anyways... As I told the creator after reading this I kicked myself in the face at it's simplicity. You will perform this. This is one of those great tricks that you can do after the audience (and in my case myself) have had a round or two too many and you don't need to worry about it failing.
Easy to do.
Great premise.
Workable.

I've tried to stop myself from learning new tricks so as to get better at the ones I know, but this is one I am glad to have learned. NIce creation beardy.
